Iceland became my home after I moved here from Ecuador. Over the years, I have built my life here through education, work, family, friendships, entrepreneurship, and community.
Living between cultures has shaped how I see belonging.
I know what it feels like to enter a society from the outside. I also know what it means to build a life and feel that a place is truly home.

I believe that a thriving society is built when people choose to participate. My civic life is shaped by volunteering, advocacy, public dialogue and a commitment to strengthening identity, belonging and opportunity for all.
I choose to contribute my time to organisations that strengthen communities, expand opportunities and encourage people to participate in shaping society. While each organisation has a different mission, they share values that closely reflect my own: inclusion, leadership, innovation, collaboration and belonging.

TEDxCopenhagen is an independently organised TED event that brings together speakers, thinkers and changemakers to share ideas that inspire curiosity, challenge perspectives and encourage meaningful conversations. It creates a platform where diverse voices can spark innovation and social impact.

A festival that brings together startups, investors, creatives, researchers, public institutions and entrepreneurs to celebrate innovation, share knowledge and strengthen Iceland's innovation ecosystem. It aims to make innovation more visible, collaborative and accessible across society.

I support Startup Iceland because I believe entrepreneurs are catalysts for positive change. By connecting founders with knowledge, mentors, and networks, startup communities create opportunities for ideas to become businesses that contribute to society and economic growth.
The ministers of the Icelandic Government and their ministries comprise Government Offices. Ministers direct and are responsible for all administrative actions, each in his/her own field. Each ministry includes the minister’s office and the public administration executive for the respective function of government.
According to the Act on Government Offices and the Icelandic Constitution, the number and names of the ministries are determined by Presidential Decree, based on a proposal from the Prime Minister and following debate and adoption of a parliamentary Resolution by the Icelandic parliament Althingi.
Division of responsibilities among the ministers and ministries is in the hands of the Prime Minister and their respective areas of responsibility are laid down in the Presidential Decree on Allocation of Administrative Responsibilities between Ministries and the Presidential Decree on Ministers’ Duties. The Presidential Decree on Allocation of Administrative Responsibilities lays down all the mandatory tasks of the executive branch and their distribution between the ministries. In those instances where there is more than one minister in a ministry, the Presidential Decree on Ministers’ Duties determines how the tasks of the ministry in question are to be divided between the ministers.
The core tasks of the ministries are to provide and oversee the functions for which they are responsible and to formulate policy in these areas based on the government’s current platform and on the strategy and emphases of the minister concerned.
